Your host, Captain Paul Adams started his own sailing adventures on the California coastline and San Francisco Bay in 1976.
Captain Paul makes sure your sailing adventure exceeds expectations in safety and fun. His knowledge of the SF bay provides visitors or locals with stories and insights, while sharing the basics of proper sailing techniques.
Captain Paul’s sailing schedule is flexible to accommodate your unique travel and adventure plans.
As a licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain, Master-50 Ton vessels with Sailing and Radar endorsements, License # 1100981, Paul's has verifiable experience and technical training .
FANSEA is conveniently berthed near downtown Sausalito, nestled under the Golden Gate Bridge. FANSEA is a 1999 MK II Catalina 34 sailing sloop with generous accommodations for captain and passengers.
Her Hood sails are controlled from the cockpit and provide great performance and stability. Roller-furling jib sail and in-mast furling mainsail provides quick reefing ability.
Her expertly crafted dodger and bimini provide a comfortable ride with a great view for all passengers, even on our windy or foggy days.
She is a USCG documented yacht fitted with all the latest safety and communications gear, including a life raft and GPS-enabled EPIRB.
